From Tent-Life to Campervan-Rental-Life

It all started with a weekend away…

Let’s rewind a bit. It’s 2010, we're a young couple with no cash, but aspirations to explore and make the most of life around our 9-5 jobs...Enter a reduced-price tent, a single gas stove and a LOT of tinned beans, and we made our first road-trip to Cornwall. The rest, as they say... is history!

15 years on, we’re recently married, juggling full-time jobs, and squeezing as much adventure as possible into our weekends, bank holidays.. Only now, we've upgraded our student tent, to the beautiful Iris, our VW T5 campervan. So now, it hits Friday at 5pm, and our bags are in the van, snacks stashed, and we hit the road!.

We not off on round-the-world trips or months long-road trips - we're exploring the length and breadth of the beautiful UK, or making the most out of local microadventures — quick escapes that make a two-day weekend feel like a breath of fresh air! Quant villages, sandy beaches, forest lay-bys, rainy hilltops… as long as we have a view and a brew, we are sorted.

Iris is the real hero here; our trusty campervan guided us through everything: tranquil coastal towns, fry-ups overlooking lakes, late-night visits to the chip shop, fire-pits under the stars, and a few muddy campsites that we probably should have investigated beforehand.. Yet, we've cherished every moment — the freedom, the simplicity, the opportunity to sneak off, and escape for a while.

Then we thought… maybe we’re not the only ones who need this...

So we added a few thoughtful touches (think fairy lights, bedding, card games and some guide books), and now, we've launched sneak. campervan rental based in Bedford.. Our passion, and side project has turned into something bigger: a campervan rental business built for people like us — busy, but always up for an adventure.

Now, we help people like YOU ditch the desk and get out there — whether it’s a spontaneous overnighter, a long weekend with zero plans and a packed cool-box, or an epic family road-trip.

We’re still just the two of us, running the show between road trips and coffee breaks. And we still believe you don’t need a passport or a perfect plan to have a epic time — just a van, a bit of curiosity, and maybe a thermos that doesn’t leak!
